“We can only give to each individual the chance to fulfill his potential possibilities.” - Maria Montessori

Our Philosophy

A more beautiful world begins with the way we treat each other and our environment.  Reaching towards one another in a spirit of gratitude and humility fosters a sense of connection to one’s community.  At the root of our philosophy is the belief that the Montessori philosophy of education is valuable for our whole community of children and adults.

Elevate Montessori School has authentic Montessori philosophy as its core principle, established over 100 years ago by Dr. Maria Montessori, in poverty stricken tenement houses in Rome, Italy.  In a Montessori classroom, students choose what they work on, follow their interests, move at their own pace and stick with topics until they’ve mastered them. Teachers guide children in prepared environments through a structured curriculum that ensures they cover core concepts and meet modern educational standards and more. Montessori integrates academic and socio-emotional objectives to educate the “whole child.”

In addition to Montessori, Elevate embraces nine other principles in its school. These include: Home, Equity, Teacher-Led, Nature, Beauty, Community, Life-long learning, Communication and Teamwork.

Our Classrooms

We are located in the First Baptist Church - nestled next to the Farm to School garden, near downtown, and by the fire station, which are frequented by our students.

Each classroom is carefully planned to encourage your child to fulfill their potential. Ours are filled with sunshine, natural elements, and gentle colors. Our compassionate, highly trained team will provide joyful Montessori learning for your child and support for your whole family.

Elevate does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations.

Keeping Us Safe

It is our absolute mission to ensure the safety of your children and our staff. We adhere to all guidelines outlined by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and local health departments and even go beyond them. Wellness checks and daily health screenings follow regulations regarding infection control practices. This includes routine disinfection of all classroom materials, surfaces, and playground equipment.

We are a small group that uses open and honest communication. We work as a team to ensure that we are keeping all children, staff and their families safe. This is done through asking questions of each other and continuing the dialogue during these uncertain times.

We are now enrolling for our infant, toddler, early childhood (EC), and kindergarden spots. Please contact us for more information, a tour or to meet us in person.
